MG MG Y Type - YA wiper cable route?
Checking another detail, please: the wiper cable and sheath could be passed through the top triangular hole as shown in the photo: but I suspect the original path was probably the "oblong" hole a few inches lower - the cable sits easier in the firewall grommet, and the left-hand turn of the cable inside the cabin is not too bad. Is there a "correct", so I avoid a rookie error? TIA.(No, not that one, Franz!). John. ![]() |

Hi John Hope this helps. Mick YB0444 ![]() |

Great thanks Mick. The wires you have going back through the gooseneck grommet hole - just wiper wires? John. |

The wires should be part of the main harness in the swan neck grommet John Paul |

I think so, Paul - I couldn't rotate or zoom on Mick's photo. I'm just looking at tidying up the 2 wires from the rhs wiper connection, and wondered whether that was what was in Mick's image. Now - back to making my nearside trafficator return "home" nicely - it seems determined to stick out and hit someone. John. |

Thanks maestro. Swan neck ... goose neck ... meh! Wiring sorted today as part of "first draft", connecting up dash wiring and main loom to Control Box and Junction Box for the first time since I took the car of the road for some "light renovation" 22 years ago! John. ![]() |
