MG MG Y Type - YB brakes
I am aware that a special hub puller is required to remove brake drums on YB but I haven't got this . So would a universal hub puller do or any suggestions as to how to remove brake drum . Been planning to service YB brakes but on a run last week got a bang from the brakes and that was the end of my brakes .Pedal somewhat like a non working abs system . |

Hi, normal 3 legged puller will remove the drums. I managed to acquire the correct Churchill 18g304 hub puller disc and the correct female thread bolts off eBay, took me a long time and months of searching, but they do come up occassionally, more often the disc than the bolts. Be careful with the 3 legged pullers as they can break the drum casting. |

Thank you R E for your comments .However I have been unable to remove the brake drum and have tried the Draper universal hub puller but this was too small . I wonder if you would loan or hire your correct hub puller .I would paid all carriage expenses and return the puller within a few days .Your help would be appreciated . |
