MG MG Y Type - YB on ebay

Nice YB for sale on EBAY - do we know of this one?

Can't honestly tell whether it's nice or not seeing as there's only one picture and that appears to have been taken in the 1960's.

"This is the saloon version of the famous TD sports car".

What does that make the YT then? ;-)

Cheers,
Saul.

I always thought the TD was the sports version of the YB! ;)
Steve Simmons

Artistic licence - licence numbers bear no relation to when the car was built - more telling would be the chassis number which would need to be YB 0273. As to only 800 being done, slightly too low should be 1299.

Good luck to the buyer and lets hope we get something.

A Tourer version of the Saloon version of the famous TD sports car?
Willem van der Veer

time travelling mgs!
the yt was out before the td and is the touring version of the y technically there is no such car as the ya as unlike the prewar sa va and wa the car was only named y by the factory.
gribble

The same is true of the ZA - it was only ever originally called the Series Z!
