MG MG Y Type - YT boot floor
Does anyone have a diagram of the YT boot floor, just above the spare? Thanks, Yom |
Thomas McNamara |
Tom You still need a template? I might have to take the boot floor out of my car within the next two weeks, or so. Regards Anton, YT 4220 |

Did you see the pictures in the Appendix to Let There Be Ys Tom? Paul |
Paul Barrow |
Hey Anton, yes, please forward a templete with dimensions if possible. Just to be clear, it is the boot "floor", just above the spare tire that I need to construct. Hey Paul, thanks for the tip on the appendix. I really neede the wire loom layout. Unfortunately, all of the pages won't "render" from the CD and I guess the boot floor is one of them. Again, Thanks to both of you. Tom |

Tom We both talk about the plywood floor that, for the YT, has to be split. Correct? Anton |
Anton Piller |
The Boot floor in my YT is one piece. |
A L SLATTERY |
Chances are Tony that it came from a Y then. Y/Ts were 2 piece normally from Abingdon. Paul |
Paul Barrow |
For the sake of clarity, the piece I am looking for is "spit" into two pieces, left and right if you will. Tom |

Tom If you forward your postal address to me, I'll send you a 1:1 size paper template with all the holes in place. he wooden boot floor is out of the car now :o) Regards Anton |
Anton Piller |
Dear Tom McNamara in USA Dear Ewan Ward in OZ The 1:1 size paper templates of the "split" YT Boot Floor, you requested, are on the way to you by Air Mail. After finishing the job, can you please forward the templates (for further use by whoever needs them) to your respective "local" Y-Specialists as there are Paul Barrow in the US and Tony Slattery In OZ. Have fun Anton |
Anton Piller |
Anton, HOLY COW! I received your mailing and I am in your debt. Your full size plan is beyond anything I expected. It is a work of art! THANK YOU for a great effort. I also enjoyed the photo of you and the car, I may be a touch ahead of you in the process but not by much. Thanks again, be well, Tom |
Thomas McNamara |
Tom, glad you like it. It was a pleasure, helping you out. Keep up the good work and remember to forward the template to Paul Barrow, once you are finished :o) Anton |
