MG MG Y Type - YT Boot/Trunk webbing strap
The original central webbing strap that hung from the upper back inside the boot in my car was lost when the body was restored. Can someone give me the dimensions &/or a photo showing the buckle & end. As a source of replacement, is it similar to the ones in the boot/trunk of an MGA for the tool roll? |

Hi Bob Will try to remember to get details for you tomorrow. Always annoying when you (or the restorer) looses stuff like that. Paul |

Hi Bob Mine is approximately 20 inches long and 2 inches wide. I will try to get you a photo of the buckle and end tomorrow - no promises. Paul |

Hi Bob, Here is a photo of mine - I have no idea if it is original, but it looks "right" ?. If you want to email me I can send you more pictures. You can also see the mounting plate too. Will we catch up at the 65th Dinner next month ?. cheers Tony ![]() |

Hi Tony, Yes, we'll be there. Your strap looks the same as the one for an MGA except those are 1" wide, See http://mgaguru.com/mgtech/tools/tf106.htm for reference. Thanks to all for the input. |

The MGA one is also about 1/3 longer as well as being narrower. I have a spare MGA one here. Paul |
