MG MG Y Type - YT overriders
I have been looking on Y,s on parade to see if YTs did have overriders??A lot do no have them and the cars with them look like a mixture of YB /TD. Where they an option, who knows? |

All Y/Ts had overriders as standard. They are different to TD but were the same as YB. They come to much more of a point whereas TD are stub nosed at the front. The Y/T YB overriders are unique to our cars but I am told that those for a Ford Popular are kind of close! They may be close ... but I can tell the difference LOL! These USED to be made by the late Bryan Purves through the East Grinstead Small Works Team headed up and coordinated by the late David Pelham so sadly now your chances are minimal at this time of getting them new. I have a pair here of originals but I am holding on to them a) in case I ever need some for either my YB or Y/T and b) I may send them to Daman Thakore and see if he is interested in remaking them in India for us. Hi Bob, I have a small box of the correct over-riders. If I don't sell them all in Canberra this weekend, you might be lucky to get a set. Safety Fast Tony Slattery |

Small Ford Spares also sell overriders for 1949 Prefects that look VERY similr to those offered by NTG. https://www.smallfordspares.co.uk/products/e493a-17996-b-over-rider-upright-pattern I have fitted a set to YB0952. Rocky |
