MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - Fancy a ZR VVC for £3,595?

Well, actually not quite but as near as damn it!

Check out this link to my Rover 25 Gti. Not many of them around, certainly not in this condition, as they were dropped when the MG ZR was launched.

You may have to cut and paste the link.

A cheaper way to get VVC performance and the bonus of new Rover BRM alloys and tyres.

there are 2 Rover 25 GTIs on that link (need to input your postcode to get it to work).
JLD

I think that Mega means an LSD - or limited slip differential.

I don't *think* that GTis used them (but the BRM did???) - but they are found on the 2 litre turbo cars (e.g. the 220 Coupe).

The LSD fitted by Rover were all of the Torsen 'torque sensing' variety.

I think you're correct. The BRM brochure mentions "Torsion traction control" whilst the Gti brochure makes no reference.

Regards.

Only BRM had the special closer ratio gear cluster married to the TorSen LSD. VVC engined cars ran with a standard set of ratios married to a 4.2 to 1 final drive and carried the code C4BS on the label on the gearbox. BRM gear cluster is really close and has a 3.9 to 1 final drive with the LSD fitted. B6BST is the code you will find on these gearboxes and they are very effective.
