MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - Help Rover 75

I know its not an MG but can anyone tell me when the cambelt needs to be changed on a 2litre v6 rover 75 2000 year model
Thanks Ian

the 4 cyl K series belts should be changed at 60k or 5 yrs whichever comes first

Neil

I think that the KV6 service interval is the same as that stated for the K16 that Neil mentions above.

The 2 litre KV6 is a lovely engine - our 75 has the same mill. :o) It could do with a little more low-end torque though...
Rob Bell

I believe that the KV6 cam belt change is at 90k, not 60k.

I can't believe that I can't find any mention in the handbook of this! I also thought 5yrs/60k miles?
Martin ZT

Ask to a dealer, but my bet is 5yrs/60k miles

Neil

FWIW, the Trident web site includes the cam belt change on the 90,000 mile service, but doesn't give a years-worth equivalent. At 15k miles/year this would equate to 6 years.

I've found a Maintenance Check Sheet for my ZS180 and the cambelt change is on the D service. The reverse of the sheet states that this is 90k miles or 6 years, whichever comes first.

I wouldn't leave a cambelt 90,000 miles! I'd be scared to drive it.
