MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - hinge rust

has anyone noticed rust at the rear hatch hinges at the flat section where it bolts thro the roof

This came up at the Z Register do at Duxford recently Gerry, IIRC Elaine had her ZR hinges replaced under warrantee - if it were me i'd take the matter up with your dealership.

I had mine treated recently as soon as I saw a slither on each hinge. Your dealer will be expecting you.............

Expecting you....and ready with the 'splodge gun' to inject some sealant crap into the joints of the poorly-assembled 25/ZR in an attempt to 'stop the rot'!

perhaps it would be better to inject some sealant into the poorly-assembled Eric to stop the crap...

had the car inspected today . the said they would strip and repair . i have asked them to give me a description of tyhe work carried out. any more info i will post it
