Well Well Well. So I see from today's Autocar that FORD thinks that £19,500 is a fair price for the ST170! I don't know if I should laugh or cry! £19,500 nineteen and a half!

I hope that this quickly (quicker than the ST I hope) turns into another "Success story" like the Racing Puma was! I can see them now sitting around the Board room table wondering, Why their Hot (Warm ish) hatch is not selling! I hope to God NO one buys one.

Also in Autocar, I see the ads starting to appear, "Be the first person to buy a Cooper-S". "Negotiable premium"……..Hmmm How does list sound!
It’s the oldest trick in the book, create demand, and limit supply. For a while they will get away with it, but again it’s a good car not a great one.

I have given my self till the end of the month, if there is no news on the face lifted "Zeds" than, I will have to make a choice. Either buy a ZR and "Mod" it or as more likely, a Honda Type "R" and wait out the delivery.

Come on MGR, with the right car, Fords F*ck up has left an open goal

I am sort of saying that MGR have a great chance of getting some where now. I like many thought Ford would "Place" the St170 at a much lower price, i think they shot themselves in the foot.

Yes the Recaro's are fine, but for that price i would find the Recaro's even nicer in the Type "R"!

This car has been 3 years in the making,so you have got to ask yourself why ford have no 200bhp engine to fill this sector.
maybe MG rover could sell ford the superchaged K when it becomes available,that should give the ST some poke :O)

Yes, but i am think a supercharged "K" is a long way off. However i see BBS are now offering 170 bhp for £5,000 also.

Why can't the 2.5 V6 Duratec engine from the ST200 be placed in the Focus ?
I'm quite looking forward to trying the new ST220 in june/July too.
