"Yippee" ... Do I detect David S getting a little excited .... nearly half a second quicker than the rest of the field... Hmmmmm

Thanks for the heads up on this one Dave...
John McFeely

I just find it hugely warming that the good old ZS can go head to head and come out on top, useful to have something to quote when colleagues ask me about Beemers and I call them sh1te... as a driver's car anyway.
David S

Lets hope Reidy can turn 'Pole' into a win!
I dont Reidy has driven or tested here before, so its a wonderful performance. No doubt pole position alone will have turned a few heads, and a few a Longbridge too I hope, so that they can make a quick decision for the future of the ZS in motorsport for 2005!

>>useful to have something to quote when colleagues ask me about Beemers and I call them sh1te... as a driver's car anyway. <<

Hush your mouth at once David.... lol.

After all, you're talking about the most over-priced and over-rated status symbol since motoring began .... ;-)

You keep saying things like that and they'll all want a ZS and then they'll be a common as ***s are on British roads .... can't have that can we ... after all we're British ..:)
John McFeely

1st and 2nd in Race two is overdoing things a bit though considering. Whatever happened to that once splendid British trait of cheering the under-dog on and giving them an even break occasionally ... ;-)
John McFeely

This seems to confirm what some people were saying about the ZS on the Rover decline thread
Well done chaps!
Hope the new PR Director will make a big story on this
Tony

There is a Swiss Team owned by Beat Maurer. They will use two MG ZS from WSR to enter in the German Prduction Car Championship (DPM) in 2005. One of the driver will be Mathias Schläppi. He was fourth in the sprint race and second in the race (both races won by Anthony Reid, great job!). Today they checked how competitive the MG is and the car is very, very competitive leaving behind some Ford Focus and some B*W 320. What a great race to watch on DSF.

Does anybody know if the cars in the 2003 livery (black with green stripes) have the six or the four cylinder engines? I suspect they are running with the K2000.

cheers,
Marc
Marc Harzenmoser

The cars were K2000 powered, and were in Green and Black because of sponsorship from MG Germany. It would seem from reports that Mathias Schläppi could have won the Clio Championship today, but concentrated on the MG, and ended up 4th overall in Clio championship.
Kelvin

Yippeee indeed! :o) Superb result!
Rob Bell

Great news, has or will this be on the box?
Barry West

If it on the goggle box, it won't be terrestrial :o(
Rob Bell

Anyone know if they'll be an MG entry (factory or otherwise) in the BTCC in 2005?
llllllll

Nothing definite yet..............but the signs look good.
