MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - MG ZS180 Tuning

I know these are new cars however whats the tuning situation like. I am used to driving a 200bhp maestro turbo and am worried i will be a little disapointed when I take delivery of the ZS, which would be a shame as I love the cars style and price.

I would be gretfull if you could let me know of proven mods and companies who would specialise.
Gary

Gary,

Only one way to really find out - have a demo in a loose/run-in ZS180 and then decide - not a quick run round the block - but 20-30 miles at least and get the feel of that V6. The 4-cylinder engined cars are nippy too - but dont have 200bhp! Salesperson will not object to a long demo if you're genuinely interested. Betcha wont be disappointed!

Gary, My Trophy blue 180 is at the garage waiting for me to collect it next Tuesday.

I had a 2 day test in a 180, the acceleration is mint, you get 40mph in first and from there on in the car just wants to keep going and going and going.....

If you have ordered one and have never test drove one you WILL be more than impressed, and bearing in mind the ever increasing amount of speed cameras and the never ending lowering of speed limits you will perhaps end up considering a de-tune

I have managed to blagg a 3 day test drive in one. Silly me I forgot to tell the garage that I have already got one on order from trade sales, O well never mind!!!!!
Gary

Gary you will find that this test will have a good bearing for when you obtain your new motor. When i test drove one for one night!!!! I did about 150 miles and used circa £20 on petrol, completely thrashed it and generaly learnt what it can do.... Saves you doing it when I get mine next Tuesday. (surely it will be the same for you)
WEHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trophy blue, the exact deliver date is unknown although it will be in July. It is an import so only has the 2 year waranty is it worth paying £299 for an extra years cover?
Gary

Would suggest so... sods law and all that!!!, ps: my 180 has arrived 4 weeks earlier than the original quoted delivery date, hope same happens for yours..

Gary

You will not be disappointed - the ZS can handle. BHP isn't everything if you can't "MAKE" the corner! Acceleration is brisk - cornering is neutral (safe). I don't own one - but I have one on extended test and I'm very impressed. Reminds me of the EVO VI and latterly the VII I owned. :-)
