MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - MGOC DISCOUNT ON Z CARS AND TF

Hi all

My partner and I just purchased a TF 160 for delivery on 25th of March. I then noticed the thread "dont buy a new MG", having read the main article I naturally phoned MGOC for details. It would seem that there are quite a range of discounts available on all the Z cars. He "Roger" was very helpful and gave me the number for Longbridge whom I immediately phoned. The chap at longbridge took a few details and informed me that we qualified for the discount. The relavent paper work arrived next day and my better half took this to the MG rover garage. The whole thing was processed there and then and she got a whopping 3000 pounds knocked off the asking price. So those of you who were a little sceptical of the process need not be.

To qualify you need to be a member of MGOC, if you are you can nominate one member of your household to recieve the discount (must live at the same address).

Great news. I'm really pleased we've helped and reports from MG Rover indicate that they are delighted with the member promotion.

i would also like to thank Roche and the MGOC for the discount i have a just recieved a discount of £1200 on my new ZR+105 due for delivery march 1st so thank you MGOC and MG Rover for keeping the benefits of club membership alive

I'm sure I can send a photo of the car when we get it, I will also let people know what I think of the car too. However, on the down side my ZR160 will be evicted from the garage to make way for the TF. Oh well musn't grumble.

Is this club discount on new MG's for a limited period only ie., to the end of March? Or will it be a long term scheme?

The discount is not an MGOC monopoly - it applies to MGCC members as well.

I believe it actually applies to 12 recognised UK car clubs!! (no I dont know which 12)

The discount applies to MGOC and MGCC members, new and old. It is set to run for awhile and MG Rover are very pleased with the uptake. Of course any deal is subject to change and MG Rover will be reviewing the terms as the deal progresses. There may be a scheme for Rover Club members on Rover cars.
