MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - My New ZT260 SE

First time I've been on this site, must say there seems to be quite a bit of activity.

I'm 29 years of age and a self made millionare, company chairman of a food based company.

I can have the choice of what I like. I decided to support a Brit car company and went for the ZT260. Xpower Grey and SE version. Although I do like the growl I find it somehat lacking in performance.

Anybody else on here bought one of these vehicles on here? Am I the first? Do you meet up so I can show my hardware off?

Not keen on the antique section which spoils the site.

Martin,

Me too. That's what I thought when I read it. Doesn't quite ring true with iffy spelling etc .... but, could be because I know of a successful businessman well on his way to his nth million who can't read and write .... then there's the comment:

>>Although I do like the growl I find it somehat lacking in performance.<<

Lacking.....Compared to what for crissakes? ... :O)))

I called into the MGR dealer in Stratford upon Avon on Saturday to see if they had a 260 as I have been thinking about a ZT-T for some time.

They have registered a 260 saloon demo car. It only has 20 miles on it so I will leave it a few week before going back for a drive.

I can not make up my mind whether it is good value of not. Plugging the gaps in the spec soon moves the price up to toward the SE price.

Perhaps a drive in one will help me.

Moneyman,

You sound like an "F/TF" driver. What do I mean you may ask? I mean not of this world!
No Money

No money = Troll, comments therefore disgarded

Moneyman, an analysis...

Paragraph 1 - This is one of the quietest Zed boards i know of, making this first paragraph a nonsense. My suspicions are raised.

Paragraph 2 - Not many 29 year old self made millionaires, statistically this is improbable (but not impossible). If it is true then i wish you all the luck in the world mate, but IMO it's unlikely. Furthermore the posting itself comes across as a boast, lending even less credibility to the point. This feels like Troll material to me.

Paragraph 3 - Starts well, some measure of patriotism here, but then ruins it with the lacking in performance point. My question here is 'compared to what?' If paragraph 2 is accurate then presumably Moneyman has access to any number of high priced cars and from this point of view 260bhp would seem a little slow, more importantly if paragraph 2 is accurate and performance is a factor and the patriotism is genuine, why hasn't Moneyman bought an SV or similar? This seems to fit his criteria a lot better. The structure of this sentence suggests more Troll material.

Paragraph 4 - Given the blatant inacuracies in paragraph 1, the poster is well aware that he is the first and is not only trying to lord it over 'us mere mortals', but with the comment at the end of paragraph 3 has elevated himself to an even higher plain - 'my car is better than yours, but it's not good enough for me, aren't i great?' - the case for a Troll is now even stronger.

Paragraph 5 - Not content with lambasting the current MG range, he then goes on to mock the classic car owners - this line in particular is blatant Trollism.

Factor in the psudonym 'Moneyman' and the signature 'Rich' and i think it is practically certain this is another Troll, my bet is an Elise owner, or maybe a TreVoR given the patriotism expressed.

So, Moneyman, Eric, Smiley, No Money and now me (for my comments do serve the board and could be taken as Trollism) - 5 trolls on one thread. Not a bad quota, especially for the Zed board.
