MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - PP and the ZT-T
A brief but very positive review of the ZT-T last night on Pullin Power. Looked very nice in Anthracite. Praises - Handling. Looks and not Foreign. Negatives - Requires more power - roll on ZT260/385. |

That's what most people have said about the ZT / ZT-T, great car but needs more power. Like you say, juet wait until they drive the 250 & 385 versions :) If I had to choose a Z car, it would be a close call between the ZS and ZT, I think the ZT's presence on the road is second to none, it really does look the business. Still haven't driven one yet though! Steve. |

Steve I test drove a ZT190, it really is as different from a Rover75 as they say (I have a R75). It was also in Anthracite with the Red seats - which I think look tacky (would have to be Alcantara - Black/grey for me). Currently thinking about the ZT385 (well ordered one from my dealer). Will let you all know next Summmer if the wait was worth it! |

>> Currently thinking about the ZT385 (well ordered one from my dealer). << Jerry, you'll excuse me if I go a deep shade of green! ;) Now that car would be very interesting to take on a track day ;) I did briefly think about one as well, but I would need to rob a bank to pay for it ;) Either that or save up for 4 years. Steve. |

Robbing a bank maybe high on the list of priorities, for me too. Selling the house - wife etc! Should be well worth it. Trouble is there is very little about its development and abilities apart from the press statements released we have both read! |

Jerry, what you say about the limited info is true, but that said, when it looks as magnificent as it did at the show, do you really need to know anymore? ;) Steve. |

I was mightily impressed with the spec of the car (ZT385)at Frankfurt and the way in which the interior was put together. The comfort factor from the seating is clear and I expect this to be one of the really positive areas. Clutch weight, which on the XPower 500 was tremendous, was now perfectly normal and the general feel and layout of the driving position was very tempting. I look forward to the opportunity of driving one when, if the same genes that apply to the other Z's, apply here too then this will be a cracker. The principle of large relatively unstressed engine in a medium sized body has always been a good sound recipe. Rog |
