MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - Question for MG Rover

Can somebody from MGR other than a dealer please respond to this:

I have now had my MG ZS180 in the bodyshop for 2 weeks awaiting a new front bumper after an incident (not my fault) which resulted in the car being damaged 6 hours after I took delivery. According to the dealer, who has been most helpful, there are no new bumpers available and they are still awaiting delivery (no date given). My question to MGR is why is the dealer having to wait and why do MGR have no bumpers for a car that they are presumeably rolling off the production line as I type?

Yours fed up and still driving horrible Vectra Hire Car :0(

When my "75" was delivered I had a cracked exhaust manifold and a piece of damaged trim. Situation was the same as yourself - no spare parts held in stock.

My delaer went along to Cowley (BMW Oxford) and got one part from the production line. This was after I phoned customer service to voice my dissatisfaction.

So all I can suggest is hurry up your dealer and give Customer Service an earful! It worked for me!

However the question has already be asked via another door!

I was told no spare engines, maybe they will send you a complete new car as well...................

James, i don't know why your dearler is having problems as mine seems to be able to get stuff like that no probs.Do they know that it is the same as a 45 bumper with add on bib spoiler? thats the way it was done in mine.
