MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - Recognition
Had the XS over a year now, and regularly raise a hand to other Zs but usually with no response. Well today I received a flash from another yellow ZS before I'd had a chance to react, this is progress :-) |

It must be a Colchester thing or maybe because I live on a small island, but if I flash and wave I normally get a response. Mike |

Someone in a ZR waved to me once when I was driving the MG1600. |

I got some recognition from a young baseball cap wearing-ZR-driving ricetard the other day off the traffic lights in town - I had him owned in my TDCi Ford! |

>>>"I had him owned in my TDCi Ford!" ===could you please translate into English (if you can) glasshouses and stones etc... |

I used to flash all MG's I saw while in my ZS, but only ever got 1 MG to respond, which we did do over a course of weeks as we passed each other on the A10 between Cambridge and Ely (lovely road [now you you stop pointing that gun in my face?]) Then again, I drive a Phantom Silver MG, which most MG owners regards as looking like a standard 45. I, however do not agree. Demon |

I wave at all MG's, very few wave back now, but I still wave, I tell my self its the car I am acknowleging not the driver. As a Modern saloon driver (ZS,Monty,Maestro)I guess its a sign of the times. |

"could you please translate into English (if you can)" Sure Damian. It's a Diesel Ford, mate. Uses the same fuel as tractors and lorries to propel it along. Next question if you'd be so kind. |
Eric |
Let's answer the first question before we move onto something harder. What you wrote in the original post simply is not English. Even though I do know what a TDCi F**d is, it still doesn't make any sense. |
David S |
I used to have a New Zealander for a boss, he could hardly speak English either but he did say one thing very wise... ...Ford mate?...Naaar not as long as me Arss is pointing downwards!! Just about sums it up! |
Neil |
I agree with David, what that chap wrote does not make any sense, as despite what he may be driving, a Ford diesel, petrol or milk float, the wording used does not say who was first from the lights? 1. what is a ricetard? 2. what does "owned" mean in the context of driving away from the lights? 3. What is the relevance anyway to the topic.... |

Time for some education methinks..... 1) "Ricetard" - Baseball cap wearing retard who drives a Nova, Corsa, MG ZR or Fiesta and thinks he's driving the fastest/flashiest car on the planet. Often heard before seen due to 3KW sound system pumping out "Phat Tunes" 2) "Owned" means beating your opponent - i.e the looser inthe Traffic Light GP 3) The recognition I recieved from this "Ricetard" [See (1)above......] was in the form of two fingers. Must have been the emabarrasment of being "owned" [see (2) above] by my Diesel (Same fuel as tractors and trucks) Ford. I do hope that clears up any confusion. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you require any further clarification on the points I raise. Yours sincerely, Eric |
