MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - SHOCK MEGA BUYS BRITISH (Shame its a HONDA)

Yes My friends, a TYPE "R" infact. I should have it in a week or so. Complete with air-con and lovely silver paint work. I will be posting a FULL test drive report shorty.

Cheers
Mega type "R"
Mike MEGA

Maybe it might be more appropriate to post your review on a Honda board, I looked for one breifly, www.hondachat.com seems to be an American based board, I gave up in the end because I'm more interested in MG's and have found a few MG enthusiast boards.

I DON'T believe it. Will our lives now be peaceful.
Rock & A Hardplace

So thats bye bye from him then.. good riddance

Mike
May i point you in the direction of http://hondaforums.co.uk/

I hope you reach motoring nirvana in the CTR but i have a feeling you will be back.
Peter Hitchens

R what?
I think the Civic & Integra come in that variant.
I guess its a Civic
But what do I know about boring Jap cars?
Dot

and if you continue to post on here, we'll all assume it's cr*p and you'd rather be pontificating than out driving it. Oh, and shove that "road test" up yer ring, rather than here where no-one will read it.
i have, hoever, no doubt that you are working on an excuse for not getting it at this moment, as this price is beyond your means.

I wish to draw your attention to two of Mega's earlier ramblings.

Mike MEGA, Merseyside, United Kingdom 20.5.02

One of my clients test drove a Type "R" Honda and a Vauxhall Coupe Turbo. On paper they are close in performance. In real life the Vauxhall was much better to drive fast in the real world.

Forced induction rules!

Mike MEGA, Merseyside, United Kingdom

I would put it like this, power lots of it at low rpm. I owned a R 5 GT Turbo, only 1400 cc but it pulled like a V6.

The problem with the Honda is that you have to keep it on the cam all the time. This is easy on a race track, but differcult on the not so open road.

I run a 306 GTI-6 at present, and i have found times when i need power i am of the cam (nothing below 4200 RPM).

Vauxhalls turbo lump will give you power/toque at 2000 rpm, its must easyer to use.
Mega.

So the crux of his argument is: don't buy a car with a highly strung normally aspirated engine - buy one with a turbocharged engine with losts of lovely low-end torque.

And then he goes and buys a Type R...
JH Gillson

Because he cant afford a real car....
POOR SAD GIT!!!!!

Don't forget to join the Honda Owner's Club. They are huge, if not very active. You will find your nearest group meets outside the local Post Office on Thursday morning.

I thought I'd just say that reading some of your anti-Mega postings really does make a dreary Friday that much easier to swallow. There's clearly a great deal of funny guys out there and I enjoy reading your amusing one liners and longer posts.

For my own sanity, if no one elses, please keep it up.

I am pretty sure Mega posted his age on the F board, where he states he's 17!!! The insurance is gonna cost more than the car, thats even if any insurance companies would actually insure him!!! I know a 17 year old who has a 1 litre Fiesta, an old one, and cost him £1200 to insure!! Hmmm
chris

He is winding you up... The guy is clearly 17-19, a bit thick and one hell of a social loser. Therefore no decent job, no money and the honda dealer probably laughed him out of the showroom = No R Type!!!!

Ha Ha - crack another one out Mega - is your brother Frank carson!!!!??
K Heaton

Here's his post from the F thread, regarding age of owners:

"Mike MEGA, Merseyside, United Kingdom
Hi Gang

17 wit a Purgoet (Can not afford inshurance on an MGF)"

So he's a kid! Explains a lot, although I must admit I do enjoy some of his postings.

From Friday i should have a Honda CTR.

I think i know someone who will host some photo's.......we will see.
Mega.
T - 6 days and counting!
Mike MEGA

more bollox ??

By the way have you seen the press on the S2000 gearbox probs ? same as the type R, hope you have fun breaking it !!!
mikeh

If i do than Honda will fix it. I have found that they are not 100%. Autocar had a senser go. The car still drove, A couple of people have had alarm problems. I chap had it using very large amouts of OIL. Not a drop on the pathway.

I noted at the dealers that the Type "R" plate in the cabin had the number 11234. So there must be 12,000 CTRs about the place already.

Tis true to say that any car can have faults, but i have yet to met anybody that has any hassle from a Honda. Ted the guy a few doors down has had them for years, no problems. My mate roy mothers is 14 years old, 128,000 on the clock, no trouble.

If i do have problems, i will be honest and post them. I think you are just a bit wishful that YOU where picking it up next week!
Your not, i am!
Mega
Mike MEGA

not wishful at all, don't want a Honda

If you have any problems post them on a HONDA board, where they might be read by someone who gives a S**t,
tony

WHY THE HELL DOES MEGA POST ON THIS BOARD ???

MEGA.. If you have that sort of money and want a fast Jap car, why not go and buy yourself an imported Supra TT. 0-60 in around 5 secs, 180 ish top end.. instead you opt for a people carrier with as much aerodynamic ability of a BRICK and as much styling design as a motorolla mobile ??? Oh and while you're out spending money, why don't you buy a spell checker as well ?

Didn't the Eversley Brothers write a song about you?

Dreammm Dreammmm Dreammmmmmmm
