MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - Silverstone's is Anthony Reids last meeting!

Depressing news in Autosport magazine. Without more money Anthony's drive is over this weekend - that's THIS weekend.

He mentions the car raffle in the magazine. So if you haven't bought a ticket buy one now. If you show conviction I'll forward some cash now!

I'm asking YOU all on his behalf to do it now!

If you've forgotton the address it's here www.xpowerforums.com/WSR.htm

If you believe in MG - now is your chance to show it!

Tis done Jerry.

Thanks Barry! Very soon every ticket bought will go straight to WSR. The TF is currently 70% financed.

Still a long way to go - so if you haven't contributed now is the time.

AR's two Independent wins earned him £5k at the weekend.

Thanks Jerry

At one time I would have been interested in supporting anything MG especially the efforts in competition. However, since the reserection of the MG name we have tried to obtain some idea of when of if the new products may be available in the US. Remember the states bought more MGBs than everybody else ie half of them. So here we are repairing and restoring the old crocks we still have with no interest from the new company in returning sales here. Does that make any sense??? They need more sales, their biggest market 20 yrs ago was the US, and no plans to market here?? I can buy one in Mexico even, but not the states. So fold it up and shut it down and quit fooling yourselves... the new company is not interested in staying in business, only in making the new owners wealthy through their skimmimg off the top.

"the new company is not interested in staying in business, only in making the new owners wealthy through their skimmimg off the top."

What's the problem with that? Isn't that the capitalist way? I thought the US invented the term 'Mergers and Acquisitions'?
Thank BMW for the non-US compliance of the F. Anyway, I would hate to see a rubber bumpered MG TF sitting 1.5" too high!
Martin ZT

you can still enter the draw to support Anthony and have the chance of winning the MG TF

I do love the American approach to any problem - namely it is ALWAYS someone else's fault.

Now you can buy Fs in Europe, Africa, the Far East, Japan, Australia, South America and, yes, Mexico.

Surely even Americans might suspect that the problem springs from protectionist legislation out of Washington rather than lack of desire in Longbridge to flog’em the cars?

The US attitude on most things international reminds me of the proud mother at a passing out parade shouting “look that’s my son, the only one in step!”

Cheers
