MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - some t**t nicked my wheels last night!!!
hi, some lowlife nicked my wheel off my zs180 last night as anyone got any (cheap) ideas how to make them more difficult to remove, other than the usual mgr(everybody's got the full set) locking wheel nuts. |

It is my understanding that the locking wheel nuts as supplied by MGR only have around 20 different keys - not particularly secure. When you get your new wheels I would suggest investing a decent set of locking nuts(anything other than MGR). Ralph |

You can also use a set of Ford RS wheel locking nuts too which fit our cars perfectly. I found this out when a work colleague had an unused new Ford set which I purchased for a fiver on a "if they fit my MG basis". They were ideal. Used with the MG-R ones, you'll have a belt and braces job and only a very determined and resourceful thief would be able to nick your wheels. JMcF |

Anyone with alloys worth stealing should get some McGard locking nuts. They are the best bar none. |

Mcgard locking wheelnuts are the best, apparently. |

I checked out the McGard range in Halfords, and according to their literature, there are no McGards for the Zeds. If anyone knows differently, please post about it. I'd like to get some for the 18" Straights on my ZT (would they fit under the cover plate though, I wonder?). Seamaster |
