MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - Tyre Wear ZT190
Just bought new tyres for my ZT 190 I kept the Pilots which were fitted as new (£168 per tyre if anyone is interested). I have had a problem with tyre wear on the outside edges of the o/s/f and n/s/r tyres which I mentioned at the last service to be told the tracking was ok and the power steering aos to blame. My new tyres are 500 miles old and I have noticed the same wear problem again. Has anybody had problems with the tracking or tyre wear on diagonal corners of the car. Kenny |

Known problem, discussed at length on the Yahoo Groups R75/MGZT forum. Search the archive: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Rover75MGZT/ HTH. Seamaster |

Seamaster, the link seems to be faulty, but I gather that the alignment must be set with a full tank of fuel. FWIW. Martin |

NSR Tyre wear on the outer edge is commonplace for some reason - an alignment issue. Perhaps the factory should have their alignment kit calibrated? |

That link works fine here, but it may be because I am a member. If you go to Yahoo Groups and search for the group called "Rover75MGZT" you will find all the info you require in the archive. http://groups.yahoo.com Seamaster |
