MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - ZS180 Best MPG

Am thinking of Buying a ZS180 or ZT190 and would like to know what is the best MPG anyone has had out of these 2 motors.. Yes I know that these are not economy motors but what I am woundering is whether the running costs will actually become prohibitive for someone who has to travel 50 miles a day to work.. Mainly mototway though

Current motor is a ZR160

Thanks in Advance
Paul

I run a ZT-T 190 which has now done 14,000 miles. From new, it started at around 24 or 25 mpg even when driven steadily. This has gradually improved to around 28 mpg, even with fairly spritely driving. It will now handle motorway speed running in the 28 to 30 mpg area.

I would expect a ZS 180 to be very similar.

If you are a high mileage user, or hit by CO2 taxation, the LPG version is well worth considering.

Whichever way... Just buy one, you will adore the KV6 character!

ZT180+ sports Auto, currently getting 26 - 27 mpg normal commute 10 miles EW to station and longer runs at weekend, steadily improving from 22 when brand new, 2k on clock at present.

If you are very very good then 33-35 is achievable, but it does take disipline to drive in ecconomy mode whilst in the 180!

I average 26-7 mpg with mixed driving. I did once get 32-3 on a tank largely spent in solid traffic on the motorway doing 60-70 mph though...

Around 27 mpg about town. 15 miles a day to work and back. At least you can run it on standard unleaded unlike other super cars :)
Mike

i am very concrned abaht these figures and will consult my very knowlgeble contacts who are high up in the motor industry and are priveliged to know me and will report my findings about 3 weeks after everyone else as usual just to bore you all witless

Jack sh*t to the gallon in my 180!!, wish i had got some shares in BP prior to purchasing as i am sure they must have gone up over the last 4000 miles!!...

About 25-26 in mine... but worth every tank full!!! joy of joys!!

180/190 ps and 25mpg - I would think this is the norm! Especially if you drive it properly! :-)

Yeah Kelv.. ayone who achieves over 25 to the gallon is not driving it right!!!!!!!!!!

Surely anyone with fuel economy high on their list of priorities would never buy a MG ZS 180 - stands to reason init? ... :o))
