MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - ZS & Non Picnic Table Spoiler

Hi all, I don't know if ppl are still after it, but I remember someone wanting to see what the small ZS rear spoiler looked like, well I was making up some new Wallpapers and found a shot of a ZS with one fitted...

That's the saloon, that shot (or similar) is in the MG brochure (or at least one photo of the saloon with a small spoiler is). Has anyone seen the ZS180 hatchback with the smaller spoiler?

Mine is supposed to have it, but it looks identical to the 5 door hatchback reviewed in Car magazine recently. I can't turn around to the dealer and say "this isn't the small spoiler" because I've never seen one! I'm actually quite happy with the spoiler on the 5 door because it not as big as the saloon and doesn't take up so much of the rear vision.

I anticipated that the spoiler on the 5 door would be the same or similar to the Rover 45's with this option fitted and my car was delayed on delivery because "they had a shortage of parts, namely the small spoiler".

Richard

Richard,

It is. I have only looked at a 5 door 120 model and have no image of it, but I would need to see the Rover and ZS models together to be sure of the differences.

It has to be a picnic table for me, or at least something a little more 'in your face' than the spoiler shown in photo link above!

Small spoiler = ZS120.
Large spoiler = ZS180.
Small spoiler optional on ZS180.

That's what how my dealer explained it?

I saw a blue ZS on the road the other day and it had the small spoiler. Looked quite good, but I prefer the big wing. Oooh yes......

Thanks Steve,I had been wanting to see it.
Also wonder if anyone has by now read a Road Test on the ZS 120-preferably on the web
as I am in France and UK mags are not available here.
andrew

I prefer the big wing too, and what about a nice set of flared wheel arches too, eh?

Mr Grandad likes the small spoiler, perhaps there's a message there...
Chris

small spoiler's no good, where d'you serve up the Bolly?
Gareth

Kelvin,

My local MG Rover dealer has a Rover 620Ti with the ZS ironing board spoiler fitted. Car is metallic grey. The spoiler looks good and doesn't look out of place on the 620Ti. I'll see if I can get a picture of it.....
