MG ZR ZS ZT Technical - ZT Diesel Anyone

Anyone got a ZT diesel. If so what kind of real life mpg do you get from it?

Just wondering if it's worth going down that route

Thanks

Andy

ZTT CDTi just arrived at Chez Bell - so too early to tell what fuel consumption is going to be - but on the return trip from Wiltshire on Sunday, on typically congested roads, the car used bearly a 1/4 of a tank... and the car has only done 5k in all, so I expect improvement in time :o)
Rob Bell

From what I hear on Xpowerforums, anything from 40-45mpg in normal driving conditions, with improvement as mileage builds up.

Nice one Rob

Bring it around some time!

Neil

Neil, the poor thing will suffer an inferiority complex! LOL

I really fancied the ZTT260 - going for 22k (fairly basic spec though). But just couldn't justify it for the running costs - but the only reason of even considering it was because it is an MG!

Maybe one day.

The idea of an LPG is interesting though - anyone done this yet?
Rob Bell

I am looking at the diesel from the point of running costs. The 120 is a bit puny and anything else is going to be expensive to run and insure (we're talking business mileage)

There is another thread covering LPG in the archive if you dig it out.

Thanks everybody

Andy - I should have said "Anyone done the LPG conversion on a ZT260 yet" - a number of LPG conversions have already been performed as you say Andy... but an LPG on a V8 could actually make the car affordable to run! LOL
