We just dont stand a chance any more!! What with the MG police car and now BMW (bikes) are supplying a police bike based on their K1200RS which is 130bhp, 0-60 in sub 4 seconds amd 150mph electronically limited top speed! Back to the push bike. Ted |

You could just sign up to be in the 'Traffic Police' :-) Kelvin |
Kelvin |
Kelvin I think that in police terms I am now past my 'sell by date'. Ted |

Will my sergeant let me swap an old astra for a new zr 160? |
NIB |
I hope so! |

I would imagine that they boyz in blue would far rather be in the ZT-T than the Ovlov's, a tad more fun for them to drive! Why Zircon? they could have missed a trick by not having a white one to show off..... |
Dave |
Why are'nt Police cars painted the same colour as Gatso's,or vice versa. With that paint scheme they are as obvious as Julian Clary. And rightly so! |
Kevin Davis |
Even if it IS a plodmobile, painting a ZT battleship grey is a crime! |
Clive |
Nothing wrong with battleship grey. |
Growler |
if you're a battleship. |

Thought I'd be clever and tell everyone I had seen pic of ZT-T in Auto Express, but you beat me to it......almost :-) Latest Auto Express, page 12, small article on ZT Police cars. It says "Several Patrol fleet bosses are said to be finalising orders" Out of interest, is that Xpower-mg website an oficial one, or run by enthusiast?? looks quite good... Neil |

Looks like zircon silver to me, Some police forces have now started to buy cars in met silver as when they come to be disposed of,they have a higher residual value than white. And I bet the manufactures let them have silver for the same price. |
Joe |
Or, its cos the car is not available in White..... Police use the Mondeo ST200, but have to have the met Blue ones and cover them in stickers:-) |

>>>I would imagine that they boyz in blue would far rather be in the ZT-T than the Ovlov's, a tad more fun for them to drive!<<< Not when there is a 300bhp Turbo charged Ovlov specially developed for Police specs. I have experience of both camps and whilst for mainstream use 187bhp is adequate compared to the 250 orf the V70, it is the lack of mid range torque that kills. Remember that the car is operated in a full load situation, usually having to take care not to exceed the maximum load limits of the vehicles plate. The Ovlov's Torque here talks! The ZT chassis is better, but this is partly due to the lower power not causing traction difficulties. Given the same torque and then the heavy rear weight makes for a different animal. Plenty of potential to develop this though with some obvious routes and some not so obvious. Rog |

Rog Didn't you guys in the Met find the T5s would eat there tyres at a unbeliveble Rate? That what our local Plod tells us. |
Mega |
....So they need the XT400-T then!! |
Dave |
Police should'nt have fast cars at all, they should be on the beat catching real criminals, not thrashing around the countryside,at my expense, trying to catch ordinary law abiding citizens doing dispicable crimes like 33MPH. |
Kevin Davis |
KEvin I would much rather have a coupe of boys in blue driving around looking for people who are Drunk, or on drugs or the car is robbed etc. What pisses me off is when Fag er sorry New Labour makes the well respected (and i use to play for the other side remember) local force go out on a speed camera hunt. They don't stop people to sus out whats what just take a picutre! Typical Fag Labour thinking! |
