MG MGA - 123 distributor wiring

I am rewiring a 1500 for a friend, and need to know where the blue wire from the 123 connects. On this version there are three wires, red, black and blue. The red and the black are obvious, but on the web I see no wiring scheme version with a blue wire as well.

Thanks

My best guess is that it goes to a rev counter.

I have just found a reference on a forum that says the Blue goes to earth.

Got this answer too from the MGB BBS, which is perfect as well - maybe something Barney should pick up. Not sure that POS is a standard abbreviation here or not!

Okay, I'll bite, since I have previously posted Mallory distributor and various forms of electronic ignition. See the new 123ignition web page here: http://mgaguru.com/mgtech/ignition/ig208.htm
