MG MGA - 280 UPJ
I have some old Classic Car magazines from the early 70's that I look at now and then. The staff have a 'our cars ' section, and one of the has/had an MGA with the above reg.No., and each month he told of his trials and tribulations. I wonder if it is still out there. |

further to previous last known in 1988 according to dvla and not shown as exported |

It could well have been exported. I believe that the 'export marker' is quite a recent phenomenon. |

Hi Dave I expect you are right I can,t believe that a car like that , i think it was a multi show winner in it's day, could have been misused to the point of being scrapped etc. of course it might have been written off in an accident or something gordon |

It is a bit of a mystery. If I were going to export it, I would have transferred the registration number off it first. There was a V8 in our local MG club back in the '80s. The owner was always coming second in concourse competitions, so he rebuilt it for a second time. According to DVLA, that was last taxed around 1990, so goodness knows what happened to that. |

Hi I think I remember that Mark Dollimore knew the then owner and car back at that time, called Clark I think, his son had a TD as well, but Mark didn't know what happened to the car Gordon |
