MG MGA - Anyone know this car?
The attached photo of this car has caused a bit of uncertainty as to its origins. We've had everything from Triumph, to AC to Turner & Marcos mentioned, but so far no one has made a compelling argument as to what make this car actually is. Clearly its a RH drive and based on the license plates on this & the other cars, photo seems to have been taken in Europe. So, can anyone identify this vehicle? No reward, other than bragging rights!

There is a lot of Daimler sp250 in that |

Apologies to any Daimler SP250 owners but this car looks much too pretty to be an SP 250. :^) I thought it looked like an early model Ginetta but I can't find an exact match. It is a great looking car though, what ever it is. Colyn |

Colyn, I didn’t say it was a sp250 but there are tones in the boot, front wings etc. And beauty is in the eye of the beholder😁 |

It might be a Turner but the door handles look wrong and the rear lights don't seem to match with the photos I can find but it could well have been altered. I believe quite a few Turners made it to the USA. |

Couldn’t it just be a cheap fibreglass body on some random chassis? Paul |
Paul Dean |
I agree with Paul - it looks very like a kit car - the recessed door handle looks very like a fibre glass mould |

Paul, I believe that you and Cam may be correct. I spent some time and found a discontinued kit, based on an MGB frame, which was meant to mimic an AC Ace. Here's a link to C-F Enterprises which made the kit and a couple of photos which do look like the original car in my post. Each car has a slightly different look, but this is probably due to when the shells were manufactured. https://fiberclassics.org/c-f-enterprises-california-ace/ ![]() |

Nick. Where did the (based on an MGB frame come in) They do not have a frame. Sandy |

Poor phraseology on my part.....monocoque/unibody is the more appropriate definition. This kit used the B "frame/unibody" as its base. |
