MG MGA - Boora Wax Polish

I have just found a new car Wax which gives an incredible finish. It is a Canauba wax cream product with no abrasives. Having tried most polishes over the years I had always returned to Original Simoniz as the product giving the longest lasting wax protective finish. However thisis becoming impossible to find So I searched for a Canauba Wax and this product turned up on Amazon (I believe it is also on e-bay) It is called Boora Wax deluxe canauba wax polish and is sold by Lujoy in Kent it costs £5.99 a half Litre bottle. So far I am very impressed time will tell how long the protective finish lasts?
Needless to say I have no connection with the company just asatisfied user passing on news of a good new product

Paul, I've seen loads of polishes advertised and always thought the finish is only as good as the paint. I use Autoglym products and would be very interested to find anything better! Have you used Autoglym and if so how does this compare?

I have used all the Autoglym products and the best is their Liquid hard wax (a 500ml bottle used by the trade) However although it polishes well and quickly the shine is not so deep or "slippery" and requires fairly frequent applications, and I dont think had much wax in it .Original Simoniz gave a longer lasting shine but was hard work and gave a very good slippery shine on well prepared surfaces.
I am impressed with the Boora as it gives a very high polish with an extremely slippery finish which if their promises are correct will give a quite substantial wax coating and protection. My only caveat so far is how long will this shine last ?

Hi Paul, went to Google a look and this came up:

Seems like they are not convinced! Read the ebay ad and it was laying it on a bit thick. Still it is a good price and the proof of the pudding lies in the eating!

You can be the yardstick, so keep us posted.

Autoglym Resin polish certainly produces a good shine and being slightly abrasive cuts a very fine finish on the paintwork. However the finish only lasts for about three weeks. I find that the best results are obtained by applying Auto Glym and then applying a coat of the Original Simoniz. I know it is becoming harder to obtain but if you look it can be found.

Appreciate the comments -All I can say my first immpressions seem excellent- I agree with Iain using a very mild abrasive polish followed by Simoniz gave the best results in the past; I will give further information in due course

Paul,
Reminds me of the factory worker who drowned in a very large drum of Autoglym polish. Very sad, but they say he had a good finish - boom, boom!!

I have been using "Raceglaze" cleaner and their wax polish which has a high carnauba wax content.
I was given the wax to try by a friend who had doubled up on his mail order and had a couple of spare bottles of it, so I had fairly low expectations of it.
I did expect that it would take an enormous amount of effort both to apply it and then to polish away the white streaks.
Well I was really suprised at how easy it was to polish the wax in and to be honest, I was delighted with the finish especially after it took less than 40 minutes to apply.

My brother in law took this picture of his reflection in the wing just after I first used the wax.

Graham, the factory worker who drowned in the vat autoglym car wax, was it an accident or did someone polish him off?!!

When I bought my BGT the previous owner said he used a product called Liquid Gold (produced by Neilsen Chemicals, not the Meguirs one) He used it over Autoglym super resin. It had a really great shine and seemed to last a long time. When I was trying to remove a scratch the polish rubbed through almost like a clear coat, with a fairly obvious "edge" to the exposed paint. I was going to try and find some, but never got round to it.

Anyone used or heard of this?
