MG MGA - Capital 1, Jimmy Fallen & MGA
Be on the look out for the new Capital 1 ad with Jimmy Fallen. It ends with a beautiful black MGA. We have arrived. |

Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAKEjvDNdBw&feature=plcp Courtesy of the other MGA forum! Notice the "x" over the MG badge: ""MG" is crossed out in hopes you won't notice it's not an Aston Martin." |

What type of wheels does it have? They are not wires and do not look like normal disc wheels. Are they Twin Cam Dunlop knock on disc wheels or some aftermarket type? Mick |

I think they may be the modern alloys that look like the old Minilites? Matthew. |

"We have arrived"? We did. In 1995. Different comedian though - Jerry Seinfeld. But also for a financial services company. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LO4uwOC2Xg0 The thing that was funny at the time was that he could put $20.37 worth of gas in a 10 gallon tank with gas at $1.15 a gallon??? |

You can do the math. I think it was 1.69.9/gal. The MGA has a 12 gallon tank (US gallons), 10 imperial gallons. Even so when he finally ran it up to $20.37 it would be 11.99 gallons, so it must have been very empty to start. Mine will hold 12.2 gallons after sucking air. |

The math still doesn't work. It was 1995 and gas averaged 1.15 a gallon, nowhere near 1.69. It would have to hold 17.5 gallons for this to work. It was nowhere close to reality. |

The average may of been 1.15 a gallon but if you do the math going by pump numbers it is 1.69 a gallon in the Seinfeld ad. (its harder on the pump jerrys using but can be done) Several things to note. The 1st guy pumps regular at he same price Jerry pumps Prem, must all come out of the same tank. If its Jerry then its in New York and New Yorkers don't think its worth it unless they are overpaying and its defintly must be getting colder out, we spend less time in the MGA more time picking apart videos of MGAs |
