MG MGA - carpet color
I have been restoring my 59 mga coupe. I am now at the decision of carpet color. The interior I had built was white with gold piping. I have now got to decide the color for the carpet. I realize that this color combination is not original. I am building to please me. Some might even question the term "restoring." But I hoping some of you might have some pics of different color of carpets that have been installed with unique colors of seats. I have always received great help from you guys so if anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. I considered an extreme contrast like black or burgundy carpet put am afraid it might not work. Thanks Bud W |

Only someone with white seats with gold piping can really answer you. Very unlikely, is my guess. Peter. |

All coupes came with gray carpet. May not look good with white/gold. It's your choice. |

Are you sure? My car, an Old English White 1600, had black seats and carpet as I recall. |

Most carpets were black in Aus. in roadster and coupe. Barry |

My coupe had blue carpets. I still have bits of it. Paul |

The 100.000(?) MGA had thick sheepskin rugs in it. maybe that's the way to go? From the site: www.100000thmga.com 'The car was spectacular with gold metallic paint, white leather interior and white lamb???s wool carpet.' |

Here's a picture. If the factory approved of this outfit, why shouldn't you? ![]() |

Bud, tan carpets would be safe and could match the gold piping. I got mine from SF and they are great quality. andy ![]() |
