Good grief, and to think people call *me* a pack rat. Most of those looked to be pretty far gone. I particularly noted the bare body shell marked "twin cam" written on masking tape on the side. The rest of it is probably masquerading as a deluxe someplace. |

This has been for sale for some time. Has it sold? I've offered $50 in the past, but for some reason I don't believe that they've taken me seriously. Shame, because I could use some of this, and would take good care of the rest of it for posterity's sake. |

This particular collection has made the rounds. I offered to drive out to see the collection..and was continuely put off. I believe the collection is real, but the charactor or charactors who are offering it may not have the rights to offer/sell anything...it is in the midwest, outside (north) of St Louis...be careful here.... |

Most of the time when you are offered a collection like this, the " good stuff " was gone a long time ago or hidden somewhere else |

It looks like the guy was buying up unfinished restoration projects |

The question is, what is a collection like this worth and where is it? I looked at a car the other day that has been outside for 47 years. Most of the parts are off the car and in a garage somewhere but after looking at the garage I think it would take two days to clean out the garage to find the parts if they are there. I offered $500.00 for the mess and was told that they think it is worth a lot more. I told them to go for it. |

Del, don't let Tommy see that BGT! Ken |

Ken, funny story... Last week my wife and mother in law came out to the hangar while I was working on the TD. They commented on the fact that we've got no less than 4 MGs in there, and asked about the red BGT that was next to the TD ("That's the one Tommy dragged down from Fairbanks, dear"). But they never asked about the one in the corner even though they did manage to count it.... I kept waiting for the question that never came. I've never actually hidden it from her, and now it seems that we've managed to reach the point where she won't necessarily notice another one. |
