MG MGA - collector car values & prices
Does anyone have a favorite or recommendation for an on-line 'price guide'. Years ago there was a company called CPI Cars of Particular Interest. I had heard they were bought out and no longer exist. They used to publish a nice booklet each month. Thanks Curt |

How about this: http://www.hagerty.com/valuationtools |

Hagerty is a good tool, and you can also get a reasonable sense of the market by searching for the car of your choice and then filtering the results by clicking on the SHOW ONLY "Sold Listings". |

My sense is that the Hagerty listings are a bit on the high side of where the market actually stands. I imagine that this encourages higher estimated values for the cars they insure and - as a result higher premiums. |

DLD, Yep, that was my thought too right off the bat. I was hoping others would add to the conversation but I guess they don't care to know. Curt |

Use the guide that most car dealers use, the orange book NADA. Go to their site nada.com Dave |

Nada does not seem to list MGs. ??? |
Bill Mason |
Yes, I found that out also. The NADA guide is probably for newer car & trucks, NOT vintage or collector cars. I have seen an on-line free guide post that includes all recent auctions/EBAY and private sales but for the life of me I can't bring it up. Surely somebody out there has it or one like it. FOG |

To use NADA 1) Go to nada.com 2) Select consumers 3) At the top of web site select Classic Cars 4) Select the appropriate make, year, model They only go back to 1946 Dave |

Dave - RIGHT you are, thank you, got it to work OK. Wouldn't mind finding that other site again and I'll share it with the group. Frank |
FOG Frank |
Dave - I guess this site covers most popular cars, Jensen Healey & Rover (low production) aren't covered. FOG |
FOG Frank |
FOG, NADA does have values for those vehicles, just "select from the full list" Dave |
