MG MGA - Correct MGA Jack On Ebay
There is a correct Shelley LJ225 jack on USA Ebay: 111084483614 This is for cars after chassis number 93548. To be pedantic it is probably more applicable to the Healey as it is dated 1959, whereas Chassis 93548 to end of MGA production was from July 1960. Steve |

Hi Steve, So, to clarify, would this be the correct one for a MKII (1962)? Or are you saying that I need to find the same style jack in a later year? Thanks Mark |

Mark A good question. Many enthusiasts who contact me about my databases indicate that they want a jack with a date that corresponds with the age of their cars. I guess if you show your car in concours events you try to match all these things up the best you can. As it happens I have only ever recorded 59 on this particular Shelley LJ225 variant. So it it entirely possible that all the late MGAs had this jack dated 59. If any one has another date cast on their LJ225 please send me a photo. Steve |

I did a quick search and found the eBay item (already ended but you can still find it) #151051919666 which doesn't seem to have a date stamped on it at all. Could '59 have been the last year they stamped the jacks? |

Mark Thanks for the information. It would really be guess work on my part to answer your question. Unfortunately all the Shelley production records were destroyed when they were bought out by Tangye. I rely solely on feedback from enthusiasts to piece together the puzzles. Your snippet about the lack of the date was not something I was aware of so it will be added to the description. Steve |

There is also an early 1500 MGA jack on USA Ebay - an LJ23, but you need to hurry, little time left and it's a low price at present: 370822926282 Steve |
