MG MGA - Coupe chrome trim on floor
Hello All, completing the restoration and am working on the door trim. On the sill between the carpet and the weather stripping at the door opening is a chrome "drip rail". I assume it needs to be riveted into the sill. So, what size rivets and type of rivets should I use? |

This piece is stainless steel and secured with small oval head sheet metal screws. I used the same screws as the interior panel screws. Have a good day! |

Yes John is right the stainless strips are screwed not riveted and the carpet fixed over.....I think it is to protect the rubber sealing strip when getting in and out as the coupes are not as accessable as the roadsters.....Cheers Rex |

Thanks guys. I appreciate your advice. |

I have been looking for a pair of These Strips, has anyone got a pair available? |

Dominic, I had one and I will check and see if I still have it. Maybe someone else has one. I will get back to you. John |

I was told that some of the older MGB have a similar type strip, that works very well. You might want to check that out. |

Gordon, you are absolutely correct, and I have just placed an order for a pair. They are cheap enough to have a play! |
