MG MGA - Dash board flexing

When i pull out the choke on my MGA the dash board will flex. Acording to the Moss catalogue there should be stays that go from the lower edge of the dash to the bulkhead to stop this happening. Moss shows that i need 2 x AFH 1712 and 2 x AFH 1713. Are there really 4 stays or is this an error. Anybody got a photo to show where they mount. Thanks Roy

There are 4 stays. They mount to the tabs on the bottom of the dash, and at the other end into captive nuts on the edge of the heater shelf.

Buy the stays, and when you trial fit them it will be very obvious where they belong

This is what they look like. Quite straightforward to knock up yourself from 1mm sheet. I haven't bent mine yet but they crank upwards 1"-2" at the heater shelf end ............Mike

Yes I made mine out of the 1/2 inch socket rail bought from tool supplies. Great Job (well I thought so anyway.
