MG MGA - Dashboard indicator repeater removal

Hi All.
How do you remove the green indicator repeater on an MGA Coupe dashboard please.

If you have an original 9-mm threaded lens, you would have to buy a complete lamp assembly, because the replacement parts have 8-mm thread.

We are all giving you lots of information but I don’t think any of us has answered your original question. To remove the green jewel, remove the light bulb socket from the back of the housing. Do not move the housing side-to-side while removing the bulb socket as this might break or crack the jewel. Once the bulb socket is out, you should put some pressure on the jewel with you thumb to keep it from turning while you unscrew the housing from the back side of the dash. If it’s frozen so it won’t turn, spray some lubricant into the back of the housing to help free it up.

HI All,
Thanks Jim, It unscrewed with ease. The jewel is slightly damaged. This might be frowned upon but I needed it out of the way as I have put the windscreen wiper switch in its place and put another indicator light between rev counter and speedo. I can now operate the wipers with ease with out have to stretch across the car.
