MG MGA - Dicing with twin carbs

Here is an article I have come across, suggesting a short cut way to ensure the mixture is always even on twin carbs. Seems like a good idea but do you think it works?
My carbs have just been refurbished and are with the courier on the way back from Bob West so now would be a good time to try. (I have never dealt with Bob West before but they seem nice, helpful and knowledgable people and have given me a very much quicker turn around than anyone else could offer)

No article attached, but let me guess that it says to measure the depth of the jet below the bridge and use the same measurements when reassembling the carbs after replacing the seals etc.

Sorry had problem posting, but now posted - and thanks for suggesting I try Bob West, they are already done!

There are a lot of myths and exotic solutions on how to set up twin SU carbs.
Essentially it is a very easy task for anyone who has done it before, unfortunately for those who haven't it becomes a daunting task.
The first part of the job involves setting up and balancing the throttles, easy with a simple piece of tube and an understanding of how the linkage works. Once the throttles are balanced then adjusting the 2 mixtures is straight forward.
If you are not too good at this Graham pop down your local meeting and find the man who knows how to do this and ask if he will help you, you will find that once you have been shown how simple this can be everytime after will become a doddle

You have probably discovered that you can only load images, not articles. Your options are to post a link to the article on a website, or photograph it and post as an image. Failing that you could type it!!

As Bob says, it's easy to set up the carbs after you have done it once. You referred to setting the mixture, as opposed to balancing them, so I am interested to see what this article has to say.

Now uploaded on the other thread. Sorry about my clumsy posting. I tried to delete this thread in the 5 min probation period when I realised I hadnt uploaded, but didn't seem to work.
FRM is not too impressed with the article and I think he is probably right in what he says.
