MG MGA - Diff compatability

I have just found a 4.5 diff on ebay that has come out of a sprite, can anyone tell me if this will fit in my A,and if not what will?, I have a 3.9 fitted at the moment paired to a 5 speed box and I fancy the option of having a bit more zip, thanks, Vin

It will not fit. Any A or early B with banjo axle is what you need

Another thought. Go to MGAguru.com find the MG tech pages and in the rear axle section is a list of all vehicles fitted with an A compatible diff. Its a big list but most of the vehicle are now extinct!!

I have a spare 4.3diff than you can have for a small consideration when you come with Colin to get his bits.
