MG MGA - Fastest MGA ever?
Hi guys I know I should really be ashamed of myself, but I just couldn't resist publishing an article about my speedy ways :-0 http://www.prewarcar.com/postwarclassic/magazine/previous-features/the-editor-at-large.html By the way; do you know of other very fast MGA's ? Regards Rutger ![]() |

Rutger, couldn't you try to claim that as the camera picks up the fastest vehicle in its sight that it could be the cyclists in the picture with you that where actually the culprits, cheers, Vin |

You should be ashamed of yourself doing less than 40! - LOL |

I feel your pain. Last month I was stopped for doing 42 in my TR8, in a 35 zone! At the NAMGAR Get Together in Michigan a few years ago there was a Corvette-powered MGA coupe drag racer. Still owned by the guy who built it in the '60s. He said he was inspired by Carroll Shelby. I'll look for my pictures. Ken |

I found a photo of Rotten Robert's Corvette-powered coupe on the Michigan Rowdies website. The photo doesn't show the BIG back tires unfortunately. Bob had some great action photos from the '60s in his display, too. The MG still wears it's '60s paint job as well, polished through to the primer in a couple places. Ken ![]() |

Found a link to more info on Bob's MGA: http://www.britishv8.org/MG/BobSamyn.htm Ken |

Great web site, Rutger. Glad I could help in some small way. By the way, in spite of the name on his car, Bob is really a nice guy. Ken |
