MG MGA - Flip Up Side Screens
I've posted this elsewhere...... I am looking for a pair of the spring loaded cylinders (see attached pic) for flip up side screens/curtains. Any condition, or a source of supply? Thanks for any help. IBM ![]() |

I have a set. What do you think is a fair price. They will need to be recovered and new plastic. Jeff Becker |

Still looking for these...... Jeff (above) was offering a "full set". I need just the cylinders/pistons. I have the side screens. Just missing the pistons. Thanks. |

Dear IBM My mate over here in Western Australia is currently making the flip up sets for the early sidescreen. I saw them last week when i visited Brian, (a very clever guy) He is now sourcing the internal compression springs. Brian is making for himself but I am sure he would make and extra set if you are interested. I will ask him cheers John |

John, That would be great. Thanks for the offer. If he needs any patterns etc for the screens, I can help. Mine are stripped down to the bare metal frames ready for recovering. I also have the old vinyl that came off them, also for a pattern. Seems those chrome, spring loaded "things" are a bit scarce. my email is shown above. Cheers, Ian M. |
