MG MGA - FRONT VALANCE

Does anybody have ant experience with the vallance sold by "Jorge" on ebay? Or with Moss for that matter! any sugestions welcome

Don't deal with Jorge seems to be a common reaction. If the part doesn't fit, he's a PITA. His shipping is often outrageous, and he's fairly obnoxious to deal with even when things go well

His parts used to have a reputation for being better than the Moss equivalent, but there are now too many stories about poor or incorrect finishing to make it worth dealing with the guy.

I agree with Dominic. Jorge seems not to need long lasting customer relations. I bought a valance which needed lot of of work in order to make it fit. Fortunately it was too big so it was possible to cut it down into make it fit. The sill panels which I also bought were ok.

Thanks everyone! Does anybody know of any other good supplier of these valances? How do the Moss or VB fit?

I bought one on ebay for a reasonable price. I know it will fit and is the proper shape and what litle dent removing and crack welding I will have to do is still less that cutting a ill-fitting panel and beating it into submission.

I bought a valence from Jorge last year. His part quality and delivery service was good, so I cannot fault him.

I recently installed a Moss fiberglass front valance with excellent results.

I had to replace quite a few of the nut cages which had been previously managled or rusted out to mount the valance to the tub. I then had to make sure the front wings aligned properly with the top of the valance while maintaining the proper door gap. So, overall, I spent many hours (60?) getting everything right with outstanding results.
