MG MGA - furflex door seal (revisited)
I have bought my seal as recomended in the previous thread. Two problems. 1) never assume previos owner was right. I cut the seal the same length as was on there, and it is half an inch short.B*****ks!! 2) The doors do not shut without a good slam. Any ideas regarding No. 2? |

Hi Nigel are we talking about the ones from clarke in the US if so there is a gap of about half an inch I think that is supposed to be between the door with no panel fitted and the flange that the seal sits on Gordon |

No, I got mine from Bob West. |

Hi Nigel is it the same original design as the one from Clarkes http://www.clarkespares.com/doorseals.html gordon |

I found I had to "lightly" hammer the flange in to allow the door to close against the new seals. This especially close to the hinge where it was very tight. Good luck, Barry |

Gordon, it looks exactly the same. Barry, thanks, that is what I will do. |
