MG MGA - Handbrake pawl

Hello,
Would anybody be able to point me in the right direction to finding a handbrake pawl, part number AHH5238?
Many thanks,
Dave Kenyon

Have you tried MGOC? Looks like they have one

Hi Graham,

Thanks for the heads up but I've already tried MGOC and purchased the pawl, but later received a message informing me that it's not in stock.

Am really struggling!

Thanks,
Dave

Limora has them; pricey little buggers @ 70 euros:

Looks like you'll have to go second hand as most show NLA and Moss has NCA for the rough looking one they sold.

Do you have the original? It looks a simple enough component to fabricate, if you can find someone with the right skills. I doubt the dimensions are too critical.

Thanks all. Didn't have an original pawl so have stumped up for a second hand handbrake assembly from the US that comes with a pawl. The extra bits might be better that what I currently have!

I'll post some photos / dimensions of the pawl when I get it, in case it's ever of use to anybody.

Many thanks,
Dave
