MG MGA - Handbrake pawl
Hello, Would anybody be able to point me in the right direction to finding a handbrake pawl, part number AHH5238? Many thanks, Dave Kenyon |

Dave Have you tried MGOC? Looks like they have one |

Hi Graham, Thanks for the heads up but I've already tried MGOC and purchased the pawl, but later received a message informing me that it's not in stock. Am really struggling! Thanks, Dave |

Limora has them; pricey little buggers @ 70 euros: https://www.limora.com/en/british-cars/mg/mga-1955-1962/brake-hydraulics/handbrake.html |

Looks like you'll have to go second hand as most show NLA and Moss has NCA for the rough looking one they sold. |

Dave Do you have the original? It looks a simple enough component to fabricate, if you can find someone with the right skills. I doubt the dimensions are too critical. |

Thanks all. Didn't have an original pawl so have stumped up for a second hand handbrake assembly from the US that comes with a pawl. The extra bits might be better that what I currently have! I'll post some photos / dimensions of the pawl when I get it, in case it's ever of use to anybody. Many thanks, Dave |
