MG MGA - headliner kits

i am going to replace the headliner on my coupe and would like to know if the controversy surounding this part has been rectified. are the moss kits cut over sized so the installation is easier to do.

Don, I got my kit from Scarborough Faire and the headliner was perfectly cut. It's slightly oversize so it's easy to install. I had a professional install mine and was surprised how quickly he did it. I just stood back and watched in awe. It fits perfectly, in fact one of the best I've seen. I know that many on the list have installed headliners themselves and I give them great kudos. I think it's one of the harder jobs and in my opinion best left to the professionals. He also installed the front and rear windows at the same time. Well worth the money.

Andy,
Where did you get your sun visors?
Gordon Harrison

Don,

The one from Scarbo is also the correct light tan color as was the original. Unless Moss has change, they only sell white or black versions. There was an earlier problem with the Scarbo kits being a bit too narrow and more difficult to install, but this has since been corrected and as Don pointed out, now fit very well. Cheers!

Gordon, I purchased the sun visors on Ebay UK about a year ago. Apparently they are supposed to be the original ones that were available for the car. They came in the origianl BMC wrappers.

thanks for the input

it sounds like sf is the best way to go. i had one made up locally and installed it myself but i don't like the material i chose and is really one of the hardest parts of doing my car.
i had driven this car for 20 years before i decided to paint it which meant a frame off restoration and the only welding required was a spot on the bottom of one rear fender the size of a dime so the car deserves the best i can give it
