I concur with Ken's comment. Mine is a Californian import - PSJ. A lot of us with 90s imports had these unused Scottish letters.

Yes - mine is GSJ *** -a European re-import. Gordon - it could be a false number supplied by DVLA.

Cute. A 1500 with 1600 type side curtains, wiring harness and tail lights. I wonder if the "detailed history of maintainance" includes details of how and when it was converted to 1600 type rear lights.
Barney Gaylord

Barney, slightly off subject but relates - MGA's assembled in RSA, and I talk of Twin Cams in particular (although I'm sure it relates to the pushrod too) were delivered CKD and later assembled by Motor Assemblies as you know. '1500 style' TC's were sometimes only assembled by the time the new and updated 1600 style MGA's was already being assembled and sold, so Motor Assemblies assembled the 1500 style TC's as '1600 style' TC's or else they would not have sold. So, in some cases the body number says it should be a 1500 style without the 'B' prefix, but with 1600 style lights/wiring harness etc thus creating an air of mystery about them.....have they been tinkered with etc etc?
Peter Steyn

Hi Barney and Peter didn't notice that one, although it is a much safer arrangement on todays roads
