MG MGA - Heater box flap

I am restoring two heater units, and it appears as if there were two types of fins used on the flap. One flap had 8 fins, the other 4 fins which were at an angle to each other...it is this one that I am trying to fix, as they were bent. On the end of each fin is a small tab..is this meant to be bent, or is it straight? If anyone can supply some photos I would be grateful. Thanks.

Do these photos of my flap help? I am not sure what tab you are referring to.

Steve, you need to be careful posting photos of your flap

Steve, I agree with Gordon, please maintain a sense of decorum, this is NOT one of 'those' sites. Barry

Steve, Perhaps we could meet?

Well I'll show you my 8 finned flap if.......
The little tabs on the tips of the 4 flaps are to keep the door from opening too far.

No idea what you are all talking about.....

For the sake of decency I have slightly blurred the attached close-up photo of one of my flaps. The tab is visible and, as RJ says, acts as stop against the lip (also shown in photo!).

Over to you Gordon.
