MG MGA - How much
First post so be gentle. I would like to buy an MGA Coupe in good running order not Concours in the UK - but how much should I budget for? Mention is made on this site of the restored Mk11 Coupe sold @ £19,995 by Sussex Classic cars being high. A Concours Mk 11 example sold by Oselli in Oxfordshire in December 09 for less than £14k. Have prices risen for Coupes in a short space of time ? I am discovering more and more places to look for sellers of MGAs in the UK, but Coupes do seem a bit thin on the ground at the moment. Having driven one I was hoping to find another to compare with, any suggestions? Do you know of one for sale ? Any responses appreciated. David |

David I have a M2 Coupe I bought some two years ago cost then around £13000 fully restored with all history etc. I have always admired the coupe lines and have been delighted with the purchase. Prices appear to have risen about 20 % in the last two years, I use it all year round as it is very comfortable and warm in the winter- can get a little hot in the summer. I have fitted the higear 5 speed conversion which makes high speed cruising comfortable Welcome to the group Paul |

You may have seen this but just in case, MG Mecca in Norfolk have a coupe for sale 'good useable condition' at £8995. I note the Sussex car is now sold, so I assume it went for close to the asking price. I'm currently restoring a coupe, nice to think if it's done properly it might be worth a few quid! But it's going to be a long haul to get it back on the road I think. I attach a photo of my project. Kevin ![]() |

There is a family run outfit dealing with classic cars with part of the family in Ashbourne,Derbyshire and the other part in south California. They have a good stock in Ashbourne and in the US. The US side are also prepared to look for a suitable car for you and if you like it get it shipped over. Worth a look at their website - http://www.apincorporated.com .................... Mike |
