MG MGA - Metal Micky
Can someone help me from England ? I'm trying to buy a Sebring Style front Valance from Metal Micky Dutton's Farm, Bangors Road South, Iver Bucks, SL0 0AY. He has given me a price but when I E-Mail him about the payment method I don't get a reply. Is his business still operating. Thanks! Bill James USA |

I don't think he is big on email. Give him a ring on +44 one7536five414four. I just bought some stuff from him last month and sent another order (by post) today. He prefers payment by cheque, which might also be a bit inconvenient. |

Bill, I think Michael is one of those people who would rather be in the workshop than on a computer. Its probably best to try the phone. When I last saw him a few months ago he was still in business. Regards...John |

Apologies, it looks like Neil and myself were composing messages at the same time. Regards...John |

Bill, if you do get in touch with Metal Micky and if he can supply a metal sebring front valence (lots of ifs there!), would you let me know how much he charges for one. My car is fitted with a GRP type at present which looks ok but not as good as a metal one would and I would love to change sometime in the future. Thanks Colyn colynfirth@msn.com |

He gave me a price of price is £150 inc vat postage cost approx £50 for a USA delivery. If you can get him to make 2 then my problem is solved!! Bill |

Bill, does Micky offer a discount rate then for making more than one valence? Colyn |

Colyn I just sent you an E-mail with a possible suggestion. Let me know if you got it. Thanks Bill James |

I'll never forget Mickey and his trustworthiness. I had ordered several items from him to be picked up at MG Live, but before we got to the UK, in Paris we had all credit cards stolen, didn't have enough cash, and couldn't make the necessary payment to Mick..he says don't worry about, just send the money when you get home!...which of course is what I did as soon as. |

Colyn, You may get a few £'s off for 2, but I doubt there would be scope for much discount as Mick makes these by hand using wooden formers and templates etc, so there is not much that can be saved in multiple manufacture. If you ever get to see his 'lock up' it is a joy to behold. regards Colin |

My thoughts too Colin, there must be a terrific amount of hand metal forming to make a front valence (or any other panel for that matter !) and I would bet that it is very little easier to make two than to make one. I would love to see one of his sebring valences though, does anyone have one fitted to their MGA? Colyn |
