MG MGA - MGA coupe bodyshell
Hi, Seeking some support... I have been working on a body shell of a 57 coupe 1500. It had many many collisions. Some pretty bad. Now I have a hard time in getting it to fit. Since there was lots of damage both for rust and collisions. it was hard to keep the dimensions and now it looks slobby. The rear fenders fit ok. THe left door is ok'ish. THe right fender fits reasonable to the door, but is so badly dented: I see no other way than to just cut out large pieces and weld new sheet metal back in. It could just so happen that someone has a reasonable coupe body shell hanging around. A 1600 bodyshell of a coupe is slightly different, but I guess it will fit to a 1500 chassis, right? -- Paul |

Except shipping would do him in. I think he is saying he has access to to a 1600 and wants to know if it will fit,and yes it will |

Paul You probably know this already, but you can get replacement panels and repair sections here ... http://www.mgbits.com/contents/en-uk/about.html Worth doing a price comparison at least. (I don't have any connections with them, except as an occasional customer) David |

Believe it or not, I happen to have a spare left coupe door that I was considering selling. Let me know if interested. M.D. '57 Coupe |
